Read the product instructions

Use a fertilizer intended for the crop and production method. Product-specific labels and technical sheets take priority over generic recipes. Wear the protective equipment specified on the label.

Use a repeatable sequence

Fill most of the reservoir with water. Measure each component separately, add it to the moving water, and allow thorough dilution before adding the next. Complete the volume, mix, then measure EC and pH.

Warning: Calcium concentrates can form insoluble precipitates when they meet concentrated phosphate or sulfate solutions. Never combine stock concentrates directly.

Record the batch

Note water volume, source-water reading, product lot, component amounts, final readings, temperature, and time. A batch record turns troubleshooting into comparison rather than guesswork.
